THE SAUNDAY APP
App terms
The details behind your account, your membership and your time at Saunday.
Updated
1. Your agreement with Saunday
These terms cover the Saunday iOS and Android apps, including your account, bookings and community features. The app is provided by SAUNDAY PTY LTD (Saunday, we, us), ABN 58 700 932 716, ACN 700 932 716. Saunday is responsible for your membership, payments, cancellations, refunds and support.
Contact hello@saunday.co.
Creating an app account does not buy a membership. When you purchase one, the plan, price, start date, access entitlements and any offer conditions shown in your membership agreement also apply. Keep a copy of that agreement. These app terms do not replace a more favourable term we have already agreed with you or any rights you have under law.
2. Your account
Saunday membership and venue access are for people aged 18 and over. You must meet this requirement to join or accept a guest visit. Give us accurate account details, use an account of your own and keep your password and verification codes private. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.
Your account and access credentials are personal. Do not share them, resell bookings or use someone else’s membership. Guests must use an invitation issued through the available guest-pass process.
Our app privacy policy explains how we handle your information, including optional profile details and sharing choices.
3. Membership and payments
Your chosen plan sets your access, booking window and included benefits. Availability is subject to venue capacity; a membership does not guarantee a particular time or piece of equipment.
Our standard membership commitment is a 12-week minimum, paid in six fortnightly instalments. Prices are displayed per week, but payment is collected two weeks at a time, starting on signup. The minimum term is not charged upfront. After the initial term, membership continues fortnightly until cancelled; it does not automatically begin another 12-week minimum.
Review the actual fortnightly amount, access start date and any founding offer before confirming checkout. The payment methods available to you are shown there. Payments are processed through our payment provider, Stripe. Membership pays for physical services and is not an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.
Optional extras and any applicable additional charges must be disclosed before you agree to them. A pending or unsuccessful payment is not a completed purchase. If a payment fails or looks wrong, check Membership & billing where available or contact us. Removing a payment method or uninstalling the app does not cancel membership.
4. Cancelling or changing membership
You can give cancellation notice in Membership & billing where available, or by emailing hello@saunday.co from your account email. You do not have to attend the venue to give notice. Keep your request and our confirmation.
Ordinary cancellation requires 28 days’ notice, which can run during the minimum term. Your membership normally ends on the later of the end of your initial 12 weeks and 28 days after you give notice. For example, notice in week 8 allows an end in week 12; notice in week 10 allows an end in week 14. An earlier end date already agreed with you is preserved.
Payments remain due until the agreed end date. Any final partial fortnight is prorated. Giving notice does not make the remaining minimum-term payments payable upfront. Retrying an existing cancellation request does not restart its notice period.
These ordinary terms do not limit a right to cancel earlier or obtain a remedy under Australian Consumer Law. Contact us if serious illness, injury, hardship or another circumstance prevents you using the service so we can review your situation.
Before you confirm a plan change, we show its price and effective date. An accepted change starts at the next renewal and does not restart your original minimum term. If you hold a founding offer, a plan change keeps your original release and the new plan’s applicable founding rate for the remainder of your original hold period; it does not start a new hold. We give at least 30 days’ email and in-app notice before a scheduled founding-rate increase takes effect.
5. Bookings and guest visits
Your confirmation shows the venue, booked start, finish and applicable entry window. For visits using our 75-minute booking policy, entry is from your booked start until 30 minutes after that start. Arriving late does not extend your finish time. Check your confirmation because existing bookings may use an earlier policy.
A booking reserves an individual place in shared facilities. Follow the venue’s safety and equipment instructions, and cancel or change a visit promptly if you cannot attend. Any cancellation conditions or charges that apply to a booking must be disclosed before you confirm it. These terms do not introduce a no-show, late-cancellation or overstay fee.
A guest invitation is not an accepted booking until the guest completes the required steps and receives confirmation. Guest benefits depend on the host’s plan, available allowance and booking status. An expired, withdrawn or cancelled invitation cannot be used for entry.
The app is not medical advice or an emergency service. If you are unsure whether sauna or cold-water use is suitable for you, seek advice from a qualified health professional before attending. Stop and seek help if you feel unwell. Safe exit from a venue must always remain available.
6. Sharing and community
You choose whether to use community features and what to share through the available privacy settings. Only upload or share content you have the right to use, and respect other people’s privacy. You keep ownership of your content and permit Saunday to store, process and display it as needed to provide the features and audience you choose.
- Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against or impersonate other people.
- Do not post hateful or sexually explicit content, scams, spam, private information about others or content that encourages unsafe or unlawful behaviour.
- Do not interfere with the app, bypass access controls or misuse another person’s account or invitation.
Use the relevant in-app report or block control, or contact us, if something is wrong. We may remove content or reasonably restrict app or community access to address abuse, a security concern or a breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the action and you can ask us to review it. An app restriction does not remove your consumer rights or automatically forfeit paid membership. See our community guidelines.
7. Leaving the app
You can request account deletion using Delete account where available in Account details, or through our public account-deletion instructions. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
If you have a paid membership, we explain how the request affects cancellation, remaining payments, bookings and access before completing it. Deleting an app account does not erase lawful outstanding payment obligations, and must not deprive you of service you are still entitled to receive. Contact us to arrange access if your membership continues after app-account deletion.
Necessary financial, agreement and legal records may be retained separately from your app account. Our privacy policy explains this. Uninstalling the app alone does not request deletion or cancellation.
8. Service and your rights
We work to keep the app reliable, but maintenance, connectivity or provider problems can interrupt a feature. If you cannot manage a booking, payment or account in the app, contact us. A temporary app outage does not remove your membership rights.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts a consumer guarantee or any other right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a service does not meet those guarantees, you may be entitled to a remedy, including cancellation or a refund where the law provides. Contact hello@saunday.co so we can investigate and respond.
We will publish updates here and notify you of material changes that affect your account or membership. Publishing a new version does not retrospectively change a confirmed booking, agreed cancellation date or protected price, or authorise an undisclosed charge. We will seek agreement where required by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. You can also seek help from NSW Fair Trading or the consumer protection authority in your state or territory.
