BEFORE WE OPEN
Your Saunday questions, answered.
Opening updates, memberships and your first visit, all in one place. Our first club is planned for Narrabeen on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. We’re not open yet.
What is Saunday?
Saunday is a social sauna and ice bath club being built in Sydney. The first planned club is in Narrabeen on the Northern Beaches, with Darlinghurst to follow. The idea is a regular place for sauna, a cold dip and time with other people.
Is Saunday open yet?
No. Narrabeen opens in January 2027, with Darlinghurst to follow. Join the Narrabeen waitlist for founding-membership and opening news.
Where will the clubs be?
Narrabeen, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, is planned to open first, with Darlinghurst to follow.
What is planned inside the club?
Narrabeen will have a large Finnish social sauna, large infrared saunas and ice baths, with space to take a breather between rounds. Images on the website include concept renders and illustrative photography.
What is the difference between the social and infrared saunas?
Narrabeen’s large Finnish social sauna uses a heater to warm the air. The large infrared saunas use radiant panels. Both are part of the club experience, alongside ice baths.
How much will a Saunday membership cost?
The published first-release Narrabeen founding rates are Reset at $19.95 a week, Routine at $25.95 a week, Ritual at $45.95 a week. Prices are in Australian dollars and billed fortnightly. Access and inclusions differ by plan. The founding weekly rate is held for 12 months; memberships are not on sale yet.
Will I need a membership to visit?
The published plan includes casual visits at $39 as well as memberships. Casual bookings are not available yet. Compare the visits you expect to make with each membership’s access limits before choosing a plan.
Does joining the waitlist reserve a membership?
No. Joining the waitlist is free and registers your interest in the Narrabeen founding release. It does not buy a membership, reserve a place or guarantee a founding rate. We will share release details and the remaining terms before sales open.
How many founding memberships are planned?
The Narrabeen founding programme has 200 places across two releases: 75 in the first release and 125 in the second. These release sizes are separate from the Reset, Routine and Ritual membership plans. The currently published founding prices are for the first release.
How long is a session?
The published membership plan allows one 75-minute club session a day. That is the time allocated for a visit, including breaks and changing. It is not a recommendation to spend 75 minutes continuously in heat or cold water. You can choose which facilities to use.
How will I book a session?
Members will book through the Saunday app once bookings open. The published plans allow Reset and Routine members to book up to three days ahead, and Ritual members up to seven days ahead. The app shown on this website is a demonstration, not a live booking system.
Can I come alone, and what should I bring?
The club is being designed for solo visits as well as visits with friends. Bring swimwear. The published Reset and Routine plans require your own towel or paid towel hire; Ritual includes a towel each session. We will publish the full arrival and visit guide before opening.
What are the peak times and membership terms?
12-week minimum, paid in six fortnightly instalments. Ordinary cancellation requires 28 days’ notice, which can run during the minimum term. Peak times are weekdays 6–9am and 5–8pm; weekends 8am–1pm (Sydney time), based on your booked start time. The founding weekly rate is fixed for 12 months from opening. The current founding offer is for Narrabeen; Darlinghurst’s offer will be announced separately.
Where can I ask about accessibility or a visit requirement?
Contact the Saunday team before making plans that depend on specific facilities or support. Accessibility, changing facilities, age requirements and final visit arrangements have not yet been confirmed publicly. We will add those details as they are agreed.
